ODYSSEY® Performance Series™ batteries provide all the reliability of ODYSSEY Extreme Series™ batteries, without the high CCA (cold cranking amps) or RC (reserve capacity) many people may not require.

Packed with pure lead power

ODYSSEY Performance Series batteries contain flat plates made of 99% pure lead – not lead alloy, like many conventional batteries. Pure lead plates can be made thinner, so we can fit more of them in the battery. More plates mean more plate surface area, which means more power when you need it.

Like many popular spiral-wound batteries, ODYSSEY Performance Series batteries employ dry cell Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) technology to contain 
acid, allowing the battery to be installed even on its side. But the densely packed flat plates in an ODYSSEY Performance Series battery avoid the 
“dead space” between cylinders in a “six pack” design. The result is 15% more plate surface area — and that translates to more power!

In fact, ODYSSEY batteries are capable of providing engine cranking pulses in excess of 2250 amps for 5 seconds – double to triple that of equally
 sized conventional batteries, even at very low temperatures. And they can handle 400 charge-discharge cycles to 80% depth of discharge.

I installed the battery replacement kit. Went with Odyssey batteries. I could not have done this by myself without the great detailed video on YouTube from Genesis. So far, I’m very happy with the system. Looks great under the hood as well.

Battery fit nicely, but need to let Bronco owners know that they will have to add a lead battery post shim to the positive terminal for a good connection or provide in the kit.

The Genesis dual battery setup is great. Love the way you can easily and cleanly connect accessories and actually jump start yourself with the switch of a button. The downside appears to be the Odyssey batteries. Maybe my expectations are too high, but I was anticipating that the Odyssey battery at $350/battery would last a bit longer than 2 years before needing to be replaced.

Store owner replied: Battery life can be affected by several factors, some more impactful than others. However, the Group 25 Odyssey warranty extends for three years, ensuring protection against any manufacturers defects with a full replacement warranty. They do not use any pro-rated credit in their warranty; only brand new batteries.
