How It Works
While you drive, the REDARC Alpha25 charger gets its power from your alternator to rapidly charge the Dakota Lithium 100Ah battery.
Once you shut off the engine, the charger turns off, and all your accessories like lights, comms, diesel heaters, or decoys that are wired into the Juicebox run from the lithium battery, and those devices will not drain your vehicle's cranking battery.
If you have a solar panel connected, it will charge the lithium battery.

This is what separates a real dual battery system from a glorified phone charger. Route your wires through the cable entry grommets and land them on the power and ground bus bars — lights, comms, fridges, sPOD systems, anything.
The Positive and Negative bus bars have 3 different size studs - - 3/8", 5/16", and 1/4" diameter for heavy cables for a winch, air compressor, fuse box, etc, and three #10 screws for attaching smaller ring terminals for your low amp accessories such as small LED lights.

1 - Drop In the Battery
Your Dakota Lithium battery arrives in its own box. Remove the Juicebox lid, set the battery in, connect the two terminals, done. Our quick setup video walks you through it.
2 - Mount It
Bolt the included heavy-duty steel brackets to any solid surface using the slotted mounting feet. Cargo area, truck bed, boat compartment — your call.
3 - Run the Cable
Route the included 20' harness to your cranking battery and connect the two pre-terminated lugs. The 80A ZCase fuse is already installed. Plug the Anderson connector into the Juicebox — wiring done.
FAQs
Why does the battery ship in a separate box?
Lithium batteries are required to ship in UPS hazmat-certified packaging. Dakota Lithium's packaging is certified, so the battery ships directly in its own box and arrives alongside your Juicebox. Dropping it in takes just a few minutes — watch our quick setup video to see exactly how.

What do I need to do before my first trip?
Three things:
(1) Fully charge the battery — it doesn't ship at 100%. Drive the vehicle, connect solar, or use a 12V lithium charger until the charger says it's full.
(2) Pair the free RedVision® app to the charger and Smart Shunt over Bluetooth — watch our step-by-step video on our YouTube channel.
(3) With the battery full, calibrate the Smart Shunt in the app so your state-of-charge readings start out accurate.
Will it fit my vehicle?
If you have roughly 14" × 10" of flat floor space and 12" of height, yes. The enclosure is 11.55" L × 9.42" W × 11.36" H (13.75" long across the mounting brackets) and weighs 42 lbs with the battery installed.
Common spots: SUV cargo area, pickup bed (with or without a topper), under a boat seat, van garage, or trailer compartment.

Why is the harness fused at 80 amps?
ZCase® fuses derate as temperature rises — under-hood heat can pull a fuse's effective capacity to under 50A. The 80A rating ensures the fuse still protects the circuit properly at real-world engine bay temperatures without nuisance-blowing during normal 25A charging. It's sized by engineering, not guesswork.

How can I hook up solar panels?
The Redarc Alpha charger has an integrated MPPT solar charger controller built in. No additional charge controller device is required. The Juicebox 100 includes a 50 amp Anderson plug for connecting directly to up to 500W of solar panels. If your brand of solar panels come with a different connector such as MC4 connectors, you will need an adapter to plug them into the Anderson plug.
Important: use unregulated panels only — panels with built-in charge controllers will conflict with the Alpha25's MPPT regulator. With Green Power Priority™, the system automatically uses free solar energy first and your alternator second.
What happens if I leave my headlights/radio/dome lights turned on, and kill my cranking battery?
This is where the Juicebox 100 shines. Open the RedVision® app and trigger Start Battery Recovery — the Alpha25 sends 25A from the lithium battery back to your cranking battery for about 15 minutes, enough to safely start the vehicle. No jumper cables, no waiting for another vehicle.
Can I connect an sPOD or other accessory fuse box system?
Absolutely — that's what the bus bars are for. Route your wires through the cable entry grommets and land them on the power and ground bus bars.
This way, anything that you are controlling through the sPOD or other fuse box will get power from the lithium battery, and will not drain down your cranking battery.
What's the warranty?
Each component carries the strongest warranty its manufacturer offers: 11 years on the Dakota Lithium battery, 2 years on the REDARC Alpha25 charger and Smart Shunt, and 3 years from Genesis Offroad on everything else — enclosure, bus bars, outlets, harness, and hardware.

Can you ship the Juicebox 100 overseas?
Because lithium batteries (LiFePO4) are classified as hazardous materials (HAZMAT), international shipping rules vary wildly by country. You cannot simply check out normally for most overseas locations.
Please email us at info@genesisoffroad.com with your shipping address to get a custom shipping quote and to verify if Dakota Lithium can legally ship to your specific country. Expect the shipping rates to be quite high for the battery due to HAZMAT air freight protections. There will be a second shipping charge for the Juicebox itself. You will also be responsible for any international customs fees, duties, or GST upon arrival.
Once approved, then we can process your order manually.
