Q: When shipped will this battery have gone through a conditioning phase.
I ask because I do not have the charger I would need and that piece of equipment is no longer available. I also see that CTek will be the company working with Odyssey to supply a charger at the end of 2024.
A: These batteries are shipped in the original packaging they are in when they come off the assembly line. They will be fully charged, but for more information on their manufacturing process you're welcome to contact Odyssey directly at 1-800-964-2837
Q: I have a 2014 Jeep JK with the Genesis dual battery conversion do you have this battery in stock and how fast can I get it shipped to zip code 59102 Billings Montana
A: Availability shown is accurate, but as of today this item is in stock. Shipping options are shown at checkout, including overnight, 2-day, 3-day and standard UPS Ground.
Q: I bought the ODX-AGM34 batteries and I have a 2014 Jeep JK, what do I need to do to be able to connect these batteries to the default jeep Power and Ground Cables? The posts on these batteries are a smaller diameter than the default cables. Meaning you can't tighten the default cables enough to clamp down on the post. I have tried using the lead caps that you put on top of the posts and that works somewhat, they can't crush the lead cap can get it tight enough on the battery posts. Can these posts be swapped out or do you know the part number of new cable ends I can buy that I can put on the jeep power and ground cables and be able to clamp down on the battery posts?
A: The factory JK post clamps have a tendency to stretch out over time, and sometimes end up to large to securely attach to the Odyssey battery posts. The lead battery post shim is usually the easiest solution, but if that doesn't work you would need to replace the post clamps. We do not have any specific recommendation as far as a part number for that replacement.
Q: I have an older Genesis dual battery system (2018) and the starter battery has died. I want a strong replacement that is up to heavy off-road 4 wheeling over rocky and corrugated terrain. I am not sure about flat plate batteries. Currently I have the Red Top Optima supplied with your system. What do you recommend.
A: The Odyssey Extreme Series Group 34 battery is the best battery on the market in this size. It is definitely an upgrade from an Optima Red Top.
Q: To Whom it may concern,
1. I'm wondering if you have a chart showing the average charge times of items with the Auxiliary battery in the dual set up. I've seen charts with battery banks that show items like Computer, Phone, Fan etc and an approx of how many hours charge you'll get with the battery advertised. Reason being is I'm looking into the dual set up because I do a lot of computer work out of my truck. Sometimes I'm on the road for a few days sleeping in my truck working.
2. question: 2015 Toyota Tacoma thoughts do I have to upgrade the alternator or other components for this set up?
3. Do you recommend swapping the batteries over a certain time from the starter to aux?
That's all I got pending for the purchase,
A: We do not have any charts for charge time. That may be a question better asked of the battery manufacturer you're intersted in. The main way to power AC devices from a DC power source is to install a power inverter. There is no prescribed time frame to rotate batteries, but it isn't a bad idea to swap them periodically.
Q: Is the ODX-AGM34 the correct battery to use with my Genesis 2018 Jeep JK dual battery kit?
A: Yes, the ODX-AGM34 is the correct Odyssey battery to use with your JK kit.
Q: What is the current shipping time for two odyssey batteries to ship to California?
A: These batteries usually ship the day they are ordered as long as the order is received prior to 3PM CST. Transit time should be 3-5 business days.
Q: Can I use this battery as a replacement for my 2016 Jeep JK, until I get your dual battery system?
A: This battery is not a direct replacement for the factory battery, no. The positive and negative terminals are opposite the ones on the factory size battery. You may have to extend or otherwise modify your factory wiring to make this battery work.
Q: How many years can you stored this battery?
A: We recommend recharging before the battery reaches 12.2 volts, which is 50% state of charge. At 77°F, a fully charged battery can be stored for about 2 years before needing to be recharged. Higher temperatures cause the battery to discharge faster.
Q: Iam looking for a secondary battery for my set up , I just need to be sure if this battery will work for my 2021 Toyota Tacoma res off road . Thank you …
A: This is the correct battery for use in our Tacoma kit. Whether it will work in some other setup would not be a question we can answer.
Q: Is this the battery for a dual battery kit? Is it recommended to purchase one now and you can upgrade to dual later? Thanks,!
A: This is the battery used in our JK and Tacoma dual battery kits. It is not an appropriate replacement for either vehicle's factory battery.
Q: Will these Batteries fit 2015 JK Unlimited ?
A: While this battery is not a direct factory replacement, it is the correct battery for use in our dual battery system in a JK Wrangler.
Q: I am considering your dual battery system for my 2007 Tacoma TRD Off-Road. I currently have an Odyssey 34R-790 in my truck. Can I use it with the Group 34 battery on your site with your system?
A: Our Tacoma kit requires the use of two Group 34 batteries. The Group 34R will not work due to the reversed orientation of the positive and negative posts.
